The Acorn Equality Fund, established in 1999, is a grassroots organization that provides financial support for the advancement of the education, health, and civil rights of gay, lesbian, and transgender persons and their allies in downstate Illinois.

2012 Scholarship Applications Available

The application for 2012 scholarships is now available for download! Scholarships are designed to provide academic financial support for gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered students, allies, or the children of gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered parents. The 2012 scholarships range from $1,000 to $4,000 with up to $20,000 being disbursed. Read more about our scholarships and download the application.

The Acorn Equality Fund breakfast is an annual event where scholarship winners are announced and money is raised for future scholarship and grant recipients. For more information or to buy tickets, please e-mail Acorn Equality Fund. Tickets are $25 each or you can be a Table Captain and buy a table for 10 for $250.
