The Acorn Equality Fund, established in 1999, is a grassroots organization that provides financial support for the advancement of the education, health, and civil rights of gay, lesbian, and transgender persons and their allies in downstate Illinois.

Time to Earn a Scholarship!

The Acorn Equality Fund is excited to receive scholarship applications for 2015! This year we are pleased to announce that our organization will be giving $40,000 in scholarships to students in the state of Illinois (The 2015 scholarships range from $1000 to $5,000 per student). Our scholarships are designed to provide academic financial support for gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered students, allies or the children of gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered parents. 2014 Family Breakfast is Coming Soon!

Mark your calendars for the 2014 Acorn Equality Fund Family Breakfast that will be taking place on December 6th, 2014 at the Embassy Suites (East Peoria) from 9:00-11:00am. The AEF Family Breakfast is a special event for our organization and we invite you to participate to help make this extraordinary gathering another huge SUCCESS!

Special thanks to everyone who has contributed to our previous Family Breakfast events over the years. Your generous contributions allow our organization to continue giving scholarship money to students aspiring for a higher education!
